How can I connect Hana Studio to the SAP ERP Trial?

I've activated a "SAP ERP Foundation Extension powered by SAP HANA - Fully Activated Appliance Landscape Trial" on cal.sap.com,

which should include Hana Studio connectivity.

It runs on AWS.

I've opened up ports 30015, 5013, 5014, 443, 80, 8000 on the Hana instance in the "virtual machine" page on cal.sap.com and bounced the servers.

 

SAPGUI connects without issues.

SAP Hana Studio fails to connect.

Dialog: "The system is not reachable, the login data could not be considered. Are you sure you want to add the system into your workspace?"

 

I've tried Hana Studio 1.0.80 x64 with Java 1.8 x64.

I've tried Hana Studio 1.0.48 x32 with Java 1.6 x32.

I've switched from Native to Direct connections in (both) Hana Studio's preferences, it didn't make a difference.

 

I used a direct ADSL connection, the firewall from my company is not involved.

 

This is the call stack in the log file (the right IP address replaced with w.x.y.z):

Error trying to activate HANA through SAP CAL

Hello,

 

I am encountering the following error when I try to activate AWS HANA through SAP CAL

 

"We are sorry, we cannot provide you with the solution due to the results of an export control check"


There seems to be a solution floating around but I can't seem to find the details.

I'm trying to activate the instance "Demo Appliance landscape for OpenSap Course Introduction to SAP Fiori UX" but i got this error:

 

"Error: We are sorry, we cannot provide you with the solution due to the results of an export control check."

 

Any suggestion?

Can I have a developer Key?

Hello,

I activated the SAP HANA Insurance, but I need one developer Key. How can I have a developer Key?

Is possible create the CDS or view table inside Hana database with this istance?

CAL Instance missing all the times I login (region EU)

I've created the instance and all seemed fine.

I suspended and logged off.

I logged in again and the instance was missing. Created again, logged out automatically by the system after some time. Logged again and the instance is missing again !!!

 

Any idea why ?

Connection problem when importing SAP NW BW models into HANA developer ed

I have successfully installed "AS ABAP 7.4 SP5 incl. BW on SAP HANA SP7 [Developer Edition]" and connected with the SAP GUI and added the system into HANA Studio and Eclipse.


Being connected as SYSTEM in the modeleler (Eclipse & HS) I choose: File->Import->SAP HANA Content->SAP NetWeaver BW Model


After selecting 'Next' I enter the following:

Server name: A4H

Host name: abapci

Instance number: 00

Client number: 001

SAProuter string: <nil>

User name: <BW user-id>

Password: <BW pwd>


When testing the connection or pressing 'Next' in order to connect the following happens:

HS: nothing

In Eclipse I get the followin message:

It seems to me as if the message is indicating that the 'hostname' is not abapci' which surprises me since on page 13 in the guide ( 

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/601fec98-f975-3110-a397-a322039ecc1a?QuickLink=index&… ) it explicitly is stated that the hostname is "abapci" (which also can be seen in the SAP GUI).

Anybody got any ideas what is going on???

BW on HANA Trial - Using BEx Analyzer

Hello,

 

ismy assumptioncorrect that it is not possible to use BEx Analyzer with the BW on HANA Trial?


When I try to start BEx Analyzer via remote desktop of my instance nothing happened. Also I found a comment that there is a license problem with micrsoft und that´s the reason why it doesn´t work.


Do you know any workarround to use BEx Analyzer or Analysis for Office with BW on HANA Trial?

CAL BW Hana System status "undefined"

Hi Community,

 

I started the trial of the BW 7.4 on HANA 1.0 SP7 instance in CAL using AWS as cloud provider and after several hours the instance not complete the active status, remains in "undefined" status, as shown:

How bring this instance to active status?, is required to start the instance manually inside of the virtual node?, How I know that the server provisioning was completed?

When will SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP & SAP BW7.4 SP10 on HANA 1.0 SPXX [Dev Ed]

I have installed 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP8 [Developer Edition]' but it is a bit buggy which is a problems since it is not possible to install corrections on these dev editions.


I looked at the corrections in BW740 SP09 & 10 and several of the issue I face seem to be covered by corrections therein. Hence, when will BW7.4 SP10 on HANA be available?

Unable to activate or suspend HANA instance

After activating my HANA instance the status was “not defined”. So I tried to suspend but this also did not work, saying: Operation Suspend failed on step Suspend with message: Action Suspend did not complete in 600 seconds.

  How to continue?

Hi

 

I have activated my instance "SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP5 incl. SAP Business Objects BI 4.1 SP2 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7" free version on AWS .


I am unable to login to sap bw 7.4 system , becuase of too many attempt to failed with user id "demo".


could you some one tell me , how to unlock it .

Unable to login to HANA Instance on MS Azure

Hello world,

 

I was able to successfully create a HANA Instance on MS Azure that is linked to my CAL account.

Instance is up and running.

 

I am attempting to connect using "Connect" that is available on CAL and alternately also via SAP HANA Studio on my local desktop.

I have tried the standard user names such as my S-ID, my P#, my email id, SYSTEM, hdbadm ........... however, none of them work.

 

I am simply unable to logon.

What am I doing wrong?

 

Kindly guide.

Demo appliance landscape for the openSAP course "Introduction to SAP Fiori UX" - Fiori login problem

Dear all,

 

my instance is running well.

I can access to lunchpad via link.

The login is working for DDIC user. BPinst user isn't working. Password is incorrect.

After login with ddic user i can't find any apps for testing scenarios in fiori.

Please advise.

Insufficient capacity on Free Trial Demo System

Hi guys,


we´re actually testing a EFE Free Trial System in AWS.

As we recently tried to start the instance, we´re getting the following error message:


Operation Resume failed on step Resume with message:

AMAZON : Insufficient capacity. (Service: AmazonEC2; Status Code: 500; Error Code: InsufficientInstanceCapacity; Request ID: e6531150-d5aa-43fd-bd96-46264038da81)


The AWS FAQ has the following solution options for me:

When you receive this type of error, you have several different options:

  1. Simply wait for that instance type to become available.
  2. Launch a different instance size.
  3. Launch an instance in a different availability zone and migrate back at a later time, if necessary.   This provides a temporary solution until you can replace it at a later time with one in the desired availability zone.  However, you will be charged cross-zone data transfer costs.
  4. Launch an instance in the -Any- availability zone
  5. Purchase a reserved instance (for that instance type) in the desired availability zone.  This will also prevent you from receiving this error in the future.


But I only have the Trial System, so I don´t want to reserve a instance or migrate it to another zone...


So do I have any chance to get the system up & running?

"Some services not started". Reason to worry?

In my system I see that some services have not been strated. Right-clicking attempting to do so does not make a difference.

 

Is something wrong that could be fixed?

Couldn't find 4 IP address

I am trying SAP LVM 2.0 SP05.

 

While doing Copy System, the process failed at the very first step "Update DNS" with the error "Could not find 4 IP Addresses in IP range 10.10.11.1 to 10.10.11.254"

 

Can you pl. help?

Increase Disk Space on Application Server

Hi,

 

My cloud appliance is running great so far... however, my application server rapidly running out of disk space.   I have <200 meg remaining.

 

How can increase this space?  I assume since this is EC2 cloud I can increase my size limit via AWS console.  However, AWS console does not recognize my appliance instance.

 

Please advise, as I am stuck.

Hi all,

 

I tried to create access for ABAP HANA development system, But I instance is not created.

 

I created Access key and security key in AWS and thn in CAL I chose US east1 as a region(I am from INDIA),

 

But I instance is not created for me.

 

Please help me on this.
