In the past I have created CAL / AWS instances of Hana Developer Edition. These are SUSE Linux instances.
Now I am reading the user guide for the CAL of SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP5 incl. SAP Business Objects BI 4.1 SP2 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7. The first few pages cover connecting to the image with a remote desktop connection (RDC) and accessing the SAP Management Console. The screen shots in these instructions clearly show the user connecting to a Windows Server but I understood Hana ran only on a SUSE Linux system.
My local technical experts have suggested there are two servers running. Logon Details (on page 6) provide Linux logon credentials as well as a BI4 operating system user. This seems to imply multiple AWS instances but nowhere in the CAL site did I see instructions to create multiple AWS instances.
Can someone provide insight into how this is structured with regards to operating systems?
